The first official meeting of the 2023/24 season is less than a week away and we can’t wait to see you there! Chapter members and guests will gather to sip, savor and support during an unforgettable educational tasting experience and networking mixer sponsored by Dairy Council of Nevada. During the mixer we will also raise funds for our chapter’s non-profit – Chefs for Kids. There will be a 50/50 raffle as well as several boozy delights to give away with proceeds benefiting Chefs for Kids.

In case you missed it, we’ve been highlighting some of the appe-teasers for this meeting including: a-moos-ing fun facts about dairy, tossed in with the post-tasting pizza menu highlighting the important role pizza plays in the industry. Now it’s time to feast your eyes on the main event… an educational tasting curated by a duo of industry experts – ACF Las Vegas’ own Chef of the Year Mark Sandoval, and Restaurant Hospitality Institute’s Founder and Chief Education Officer, Mark Steele.

Now, we’ve been promising a wine & cheese pairing for the past few weeks… but our dynamic duo of Marks have fermented an even better plan to present a trio of perfection: artisan cheeses paired with wine AND beer! 

So without further ado, we present four fantastic pairings

Wine: 10 yr. Tawny Port, Sandeman
Beer: Hazy Hop Rising Double IPA, Squatters

Grand Cru
Wine: Extra Dry Cremant, Louis Bouillot
Beer: Crisp Apple Cider, Angry Orchard

Butterkäse
Wine: Chardonnay Sorelle, Baldacci
