We at the ACF Las Vegas Local Chapter, would like to welcome each of you to the ACF National Convention. Whether you have been attending the ACF Conventions for years or this is your first time attending, we are pleased to have you with us in Las Vegas.
We want you to leave this magnificent culinary event having the experience of a lifetime. You will be attending many educational seminars to learn new techniques and trends in the culinary field. This information can greatly transform the way we operate our businesses and improve our managerial strategies. We will be better equipped to meet the challenges of our businesses and excel despite setbacks. Also, there is no greater opportunity for networking and making connections with attendees from all over the country
It is an exciting time for ACF as we confront a time of many changes. We are meeting these changes during a time of larger nationwide and global change due to the pandemic. ACF is growing and adapting to this new era, (the post Covid time) and we remain adaptable, motivated, responsive, educationally focused, and always open to new ideas!!!!
The world of ACF is an exciting area in which to work, learn and play. We will continue to meet and bring together inspired people in settings like this convention to ensure ACF remains on the cutting edge of the culinary industry.
I would like to give you an idea of what you can expect and what we hope to achieve over the next few days. You will hear from twenty world-class presenters; watch demos, demos, and more demos; and meet 100+ sponsors displaying their latest and greatest culinary goods.
Attendants can meet some of the world class presenters, including; Chris Viaud, James Beard Award Winner; Fran Costigan from Have Your Cake & Eat It Too: Essential Vegan Desserts; Paula Jones from Spotlight on Spirits, Bourbon, From Grain to Glass; and Larry Forgione, “The Godfather of American Cuisine”.
We all should be very proud of where we are today and very excited about where we are headed.
Before I close, I would like to thank each of you for attending our conference and also for bringing your expertise to our gathering. You, as leaders, have an important part of this prestigious organization. You have the vision, the knowledge, the wherewithal and the experience to help us pave our way into the future. You are truly our greatest asset today and tomorrow, and we could not accomplish what we do without your support and leadership. Throughout this conference, I ask you to stay engaged, keep us accountable to our mission and help us shape the future of the American Culinary Federation.
