Our chefs were back in action on January 26 cookin’ up a good time for the students at H.P. Fitzgerald Elementary School. ACF Chef Michael David Ty and his family continued Michael Ty’s legacy of supporting Chefs for Kids with Hospitality Culinaire Inc. sponsoring the breakfast. The whole family was on-site to volunteer, and so were many of our ACF Chefs including Chris Johns, Angela Armstrong, and Rich Cino.
This is our first visit to H.P. Fitzgerald school since the pandemic, and it was great to see all the kids’ smiling faces again, and how much they’ve grown in the past three years! Each kid got to enjoy a warm breakfast including Breakfast Burritos with sausage, egg and cheese, and an Acai Bowl with strawberries, blueberries and granola. Each of the kids also received a little “to-go” bag that had snacks and a toy inside, and a special chef’s hat from Jamba Juice. The children loved it!
But it’s the smile that says it all for us. Nothing warms the heart more than seeing the smiles on the kids’ faces as they get to try new and delicious foods. Thank you to Michael David Ty, the Ty family, and Hospitality Culinaire for taking on this breakfast. And thanks to our dedicated members who continue to consistently volunteer for these breakfasts. We couldn’t do it without you!
