Las Vegas Award Winners

  ACF National President, Chef Michael Ty, CEC, AAC, (pictured right) presents Chef Gustav Mauler, CMC, owner of Spiendini Restaurant in Las Vegas, the ACF Achievement of Excellence Award.  
  Chef Jill Mora, College of Southern Nevada Professor of Culinary Arts won one of the first ever American Culinary Federation - Culinary Hero Awards. The award was presented to her by National President Chef Michael Ty at the President’s Grand Gala, the final event of the convention.  
       
  Chef Dale (Shag) Shigenaga, from the Department of Food and Beverage Management at the University of Nevada Las Vegas, was made an honorary member of the ACF American Academy of Chefs.  
  Chef Michael Gabriel, adjunct faculty from the College of Southern Nevada and student Jason Isaac, CSN culinary student, won a silver medal for their cold food platters that were used to train new ACF judges at the convention.
